The university consists of four faculties (Arts and Education, Business and Law, Health, and Science, Engineering and the Built Environment). The faculties include various departments, such as education, midwifery, psychology, information technology, and life and environmental sciences. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Registration within an HDR program as domestic or international student is required in order to be considered for an RTP allowance, RTP fee offset, RTP allowance, or DUPRS
  • Qualification for an RTP expense allowance requires the applicant not to be awarded a Commonwealth grant or corresponding scholarship.
  • Qualification for an RTP or DUPRS allowance requires the applicant not to have received any other income greater than 75% of the RTP or DUPRS allowance during the period of study.
  • Applicants are required to have concluded at least four years of higher education with first class honors.

PhD Level:

  • Completion of a research assignment, thesis included, which equates at least 25% of a year of full time studies with a grade of at least 70% and at a level 8 at least of the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Master’s Level:

  • The applicant must have successfully completed a research project (thesis included) which equates at least 25% of a year of full time studies with a grade of at least 65% and at a level 8 at least of the Australian Qualifications Framework.

  • A Justice of the Peace;
  • A notary public;
  • An Australian consular officer or an Australian diplomatic officer (as defined in the Consular Fees Act 1955);
  • A Commonwealth or Australian Trade Commission employee working outside Australia;
  • An international student recruitment agency.
